Ngong Ping 360 normally runs 10:00–18:00 on weekdays and 09:00–18:30 on weekends and public holidays. Start with the operating notice for your date, then choose your cabin and plan the return journey.
Opening hours are not a reserved boarding time. Check maintenance and weather notices before travelling, and leave room in your day for the return queue.

The homepage lists 10:00–18:00 on weekdays and 09:00–18:30 on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The general FAQ still gives 10:00–18:00. Check the homepage for your travel date and any maintenance or weather notices before leaving for Tung Chung.
Plan the return before taking the cable car
A round-trip ticket must be used in both directions on the same day. Ask terminal staff about final boarding; the published closing time is not a reserved boarding slot. Our suggested queue buffer is 45–60 minutes before closing. If returning by bus, check route 23 towards Tung Chung and its final departure before going up.
Tung Chung MTR to the cable-car terminal
Use the Tung Chung Line, not Airport Express. From Tung Chung station Exit B, the operator describes a roughly five-minute walk to the cable-car terminal. Allow extra time for ticket checks and boarding.
Standard, Crystal or mixed cabins?
Standard has a solid floor; Crystal adds the glass-floor view. Crystal+ is another cabin category. A mixed return ticket uses different cabin types each way: read both directions before paying.

Leave time for the Big Buddha
The cable-car ride takes about 25 minutes each way, before queues. The Big Buddha is reached by 268 steps; allow for the climb separately. Our suggested day leaves time for lunch and Po Lin rather than adding a city-centre reservation immediately afterwards.
Weather, maintenance and access
Check service notices before travelling to Tung Chung. Bad weather or maintenance can stop the cable car. Ask the operator about boarding assistance if needed; accessible cabin boarding does not make the Buddha staircase step-free.

Keep the harbour for another day. Start in Tung Chung, ride up, explore the Buddha and monastery area, then return with time to spare.

Can I use the return cable-car ride tomorrow?
No. The operator requires both journeys on a round-trip ticket to be taken on the same day.

Does a Crystal cabin ticket skip all queues?

How long should I allow for Ngong Ping and the Big Buddha?
