Plan your time in Paris
Plan Paris around a handful of visits you really want, then let the neighbourhoods fill the gaps. The Eiffel Tower, Louvre and Seine make a strong first-trip combination, but they do not need to become a race through a checklist. Build your route around the reservations you secure and keep time for a café, a riverside walk or a slower museum visit.
A day around the river
Make the Eiffel Tower your anchor visit, then leave a flexible stretch for walking by the Seine. A sightseeing cruise can give the afternoon a different pace. Check the exact pier and departure conditions; not every boat leaves from the same part of the river, and a cruise is not necessarily a transport service.
A museum day with breathing room
Give the Louvre a generous block rather than putting it between two timed attractions. Pick your must-see collections in advance, and plan the rest as a bonus. The Louvre lists Tuesday as its regular closure, so swap days when needed. Leave your later plans flexible enough for lunch and the journey across the city.
One neighbourhood beyond the icons
Save a morning or afternoon for Montmartre or the streets of the Marais. Our recommendation is to choose one area and explore it on foot instead of travelling between several short stops. An extra free block is often more useful than another bundle inclusion that you would not otherwise buy.
Before you book
Does every Eiffel Tower ticket include the top?
No. The official ticket options distinguish the second floor from the summit, and stairs from lift access. Read the exact option before booking.
Can I visit the Louvre on Tuesday?
Tuesday is the museum’s regular closure day. Check the current Louvre visitor page for exceptional notices before fixing your route.
