Plan your time in Antalya
Antalya works well when you balance sightseeing with time on the coast. Kaleiçi offers a compact historic centre to explore, while the wider region opens up archaeological visits and boat trips. Start by locating your accommodation on the map: an excursion sold as an Antalya trip may involve a substantial journey from your particular resort.
Give Kaleiçi an unhurried start
Use your first city visit to walk through the old town and down towards the harbour. A guided walk can provide context, but leave room for a meal and a slower return. Our suggestion is to keep this separate from a full-day excursion so you can explore without watching the clock.
Choose one archaeological day
Aspendos is one option for a trip into the wider region. Compare how much time a tour gives each stop, whether entry fees are included and where you are collected. More stops in the title do not necessarily mean a better visit if most of the day is spent on the road.
Keep a day for the water
Read boat-trip descriptions carefully: the named destination may be far from your hotel, and some packages combine road transfers with a much shorter cruise. Check the harbour, meal arrangements and planned swimming stops. Keep your return evening flexible if the trip involves a long transfer.
